Mangaluru, October 29: Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached Mangaluru today afternoon.
She arrived at Mangaluru International Airport to participate in the Pragathi Raksha Kavacha Insurance Scheme programme to be held at Dharmasthala today evening.

Belagavi: CM Siddaramaiah calls for reversing BJP’s imposition of RSS ideology on Indians
Belagavi: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressing after inaugurating the historic ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim and Jai Samvidhan,’campaign called on to reverse the Bharatiya Janata Party’s imposition of the RSS ideology among Indians, which is hostile to the Constitution. He presided over the inauguration program of the historic event at Belagavi on Monday, January 21.
Siddaramaiah accused the BJP of systematically creating divisions in society, weakening the country by creating communal and social rifts. "Gandhi and Ambedkar are our guiding lights," he declared, asserting that the teachings of these leaders must be upheld to defeat such divisive forces.
He furthermore claimed that, “when the Constitution was implemented, the BJP and family burned Ambedkar's portrait and the Constitution. This country, the people of this country will never forgive or forget this.”

“Different languages, castes, religions are the strength of India. The BJP and family hates Gandhi and Ambedkar. We will carry forward their ideals and expand them across generations,” he added.
He reminded people that safeguarding the Constitution is essential, as it, in turn, will protect the rights and dignity of all citizens.
The Chief Minister emphasized that ideological victories matter more than electoral wins. He pointed to his government’s policies designed to fulfill the values of Gandhi and Ambedkar, noting, "We have injected over ₹52,000 crore directly into people's accounts, strengthening the financial foundation of the state’s citizens."
