Bengaluru: Police on Sunday arrested two people for killing a woman and burying her mortal remains in a field on the outskirts of city over family dispute.

Kottanuru police arrested Kallesh (31) and his brother Krishnappa (33) on charges of murdering Shilpa (21) wife of Kallesh over family dispute.

According to the reports the couple used to frequently fight. On August 12, the couple argues over some reason after which the neighbors had to intervene to stop them. On the following day Kallesh informed Shilpa’s family about her going missing.

The family urged Kallesh to file a missing complaint. Kallesh, filed complaint after five days of Shilpa going missing.

Kottanuru police then took Kallesh into custody on suspicion who later confessed to the murder and revealed other details, police also arrested his brother Krishnappa and is further investigating the case.

Mandla (MP) (PTI): Four men died after their motorcycle plunged off a dilapidated bridge in Madhya Pradesh's Mandla district, police said on Sunday.

The accident occurred near Bhainswahi village at around 8 pm on Saturday, Bijadandi Police Station House Officer (SHO) Anita Kudape said.

The four men were travelling from Paudi to Bhainswahi village when their motorcycle hit a pothole on the bridge. The rider lost control, and the two-wheeler plunged below, she said.

All four sustained serious injuries and later died, the official said.

The deceased have been identified as Pramod Kumar Nareti (24), Santalal Uikey (23), Shivam Yadav (25) and Gangaram (22), the official said.

The police registered a case and were investigating the incident.
