Bengaluru: Breaking a network of black market dealers selling Remdesivir drugs at high prices, Officers from the Basaveshwara city police station arrested three individuals on May 25th, Tuesday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sanjeev Kumar (32), Prateek (37) and Abhijeeth (20), residents of Bangalore Electronic City.
Police have seized 25 Vials of Jubilant Generics Company's Remdesivir injection bottles from the accused, police said.
The accused were buying the Remdesivir drug from Kerala for a low price and selling each Vial of injection for Rs.10,000. The police who began the investigation based on verified leads were successful in arresting the accused. A case has been registered under the Drugs Control Act against the accused, police said.
