Hassan: Candidates' forced to cut sleeves for Panchayat Development Officer exam to comply with dress code

Hassan: Candidates sitting for the Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) exam in Hassan were left in shock and frustration when they were forced to have the sleeves of their clothing cut off by examination centre staff on Sunday.

The incident occurred at the L.V. Polytechnic centre, where several aspirants, both male and female, were dressed in either full-sleeve or 3/4th-sleeve attire.

The centre's staff, citing government norms designed to prevent malpractices during the exam, denied entry to candidates who wore full-sleeved clothes, demanding they shorten their sleeves before being allowed to sit for the test, as reported by Deccan Herald.

Despite repeated pleas from the candidates, the staff remained firm, referring to a supposed dress code mentioned in the admission cards.

The candidates were eventually allowed to take the exam only after their full-sleeves were cut.
