Bengaluru: Karnataka Assembly Speaker after refusing to accept the resignations of 13 MLAs without meeting them in person, on Tuesday afternoon asserted that resignation letters of eight of the MLAs were not in order and norms while adding that the other five resignation letters were in accordance with the norms.
“On Saturday, 13 MLAs visited my office when I was not available and submitted their resignation. Among the 13 resignation letters, eight are not in order” he said.
The speaker’s statement has reportedly caused panic among the disgruntled MLAs who have been camping in Mumbai since Saturday after submitting resignation.
It will be interesting to see if the eight MLAs are asked to submit their resignation again.
