Kolar : Death sentence to five rape accused in a single day
Kolar, September 16: In the history of judiciary of the state, Kolar additional district and sessions court judge made a history by awarding death sentence to five rape accused here on Saturday.
In the first case, the judge awarded death sentence to Suresh Babu on charges of killing a school girl after raping her at Malum. The incident happened on August 1 and the judgement was announced within 45 days.
In another case, the court convicted four persons to death on charges of raping a minor girl at Kuppur near Malur on May 28, 2014. The convicted are identified as Munikrishna, Narayanaswamy, Anil Kumar and Krishnamurthy.
In the first case, 16 year old girl who was returning after attending a sports meet was raped and killed at Malur.
