KPCC President DK Shivakumar addresses IOC Global Live Conference with audience from across globe
New York: As a part of the Indian Overseas Congress Mera Bharat Mahaan NRI Series, a Facebook live Global Conference was facilitated by Dr. Arathi Krishna, Dy. KPCC NRI Chairman and Mohammad Mansoor, President IOC Bahrain on 30th May 2020.
In the one and half hour live interaction, questions and answers were addressed by KPCC President DK Shivakumar and were attended by hundreds of participants, accumulating an impressive 300k people viewing the live broadcast across the globe.
The event was inaugurated with a welcome address by the IOC chairman Sam Pitroda followed by the motivational speech of AICC Secretary Himanshu Vyas, IOC US President, Mohinder Singh Gilzian, and former KPCC NRI Dy Chairman Dr. Arathi Krishna by whom DK Shivakumar was introduced.
“The event was remarkably successful with maximum interaction of global congress family members and straight forward answers by DK Shivakumar. He delivered a powerful, motivational, impressive, and thought-provoking speech and emphasized the present political issues in India and the Indian government's negligence in handling the crisis related to Covid-19 and the indefinite lockdown” a press release by the IOC stated.
Shivakumar in his address added at present, that the Congress is playing a frontline, constructive role by addressing and articulating the Covid-19 issues and offering critique-based solutions to the government as a responsible opposition party.
“The insightful meeting covered the congress strategy and the rebuilding of the KPCC, as well as discussed counter corrupt and hatred politics of current regime along with the role of a constructive opposition, etc.” the release further added.
IOC Bahrain President Mohammad Mansoor thanked IOC Chairman Sam Pitroda, AICC Secretary Himanshu Vyas for their role in strengthening the party and motivating the team; former KPCC NRI Dy Chairman Dr. Arathi Krishna for introducing the guest; IOC global IT Cell Chairman Manoj Shinde, along with Dhananjay and Vinay for professionally managing the event; IOC US President Mohinder and Karnataka Chapter President Gauri Shankar for emphasizing the guest of honor; Sofiya Sharma and Vijya Nadela for beautifully moderating the event and all the distinguished guests and Presidents of IOC and KPCC wing Leaders from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, Germany and other countries who were present on the online meeting and especially Althaf, PA to DKS and A.N. KKR hammer DC by eight wickets as Allen smashes unbeaten ton
New Delhi (PTI): Finn Allen smashed a 47-ball 100 not out as Kolkata Knight Riders thrashed Delhi Capitals by eight wickets to register their fourth win on the trot in the IPL, here on Friday.
Opting to bowl, KKR spinners led by Sunil Narine strangled Delhi Capitals in the middle overs on a tacky surface to restrict them to 142/8.
Pathum Nissanka struck a quick 50 (29 balls; 5x4, 3x6) but Delhi lost momentum after his dismissal, scoring just 11 runs between the 12th and 16th overs as Anukul Roy (2/31), Kartik Tyagi (2/25) and Sunil Narine (1/17) applied the brakes.
Ashutosh Sharma’s late 28-ball 39 (3x4, 3x6), gave Delhi some respite.
In reply, Allen, who came in as Impact Sub for Varun Chakravarthy, smashed 10 sixes and five fours to make it a lopsided chase as KKR sealed the win in just 14.2 overs.
