Raichur: Two persons died on the spot after a bike they were travelling on rammed into a stationary lorry near a petrol bunk at Kunnatagi Camp here on Saturday night.
The deceased bikers have been identified as Mallanagowda Kannur (37) and Virupakshi (38).
The incident reportedly took place when the deceased were heading to their hometowns in Kannur from Sindhanur.
They were riding their bike from Sindhanur towards their hometown Kannur when they hit a lorry parked near the petrol station in Kunnatagi Camp. Both died on the spot.
Rural police station PSI and other personnel visited the spot and conducted an investigation.
