Hubballi: Former MLA Raghupathi Bhat has expressed his willingness to rejoin the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) if invited. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Bhat clarified that he remains a committed worker of the party and has no issues with rejoining.

Bhat mentioned that there have been discussions about former Deputy Chief Minister KS Eshwarappa rejoining the BJP and indicated that he might be contacted soon. "I am a BJP worker, and despite losing the election and being expelled, I am open to returning if called," he said.

Currently taking a break from politics, Bhat shared that he is focusing on religious activities and is feeling more relaxed. "I am a politician with national interest in mind, and if the party invites me, I will consider rejoining," he added.

Moving away briefly from the Iranian missile attacks on Israel, in a separate incident, there has been a mass shooting in Tel Aviv, a BBC report stated.

Gunmen opened fire at people on a city street this evening, according to police, with Israeli media reporting that at least six people were killed.

At least seven others were reported to have been injured, and several are in a critical condition.

Images posted on social media showed the gunman shooting at bystanders and injured people lying on the ground at a railway station in the Jaffa area.

Police say two attackers were "neutralised" and describe the motive as "terror".
