Bengaluru police have registered a suo motu case after false and allegedly inflammatory claims were circulated on social media linking Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) M A Saleem to illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.

Three people died on the spot and four others were seriously injured after a car crashed into a lorry on National Highway-48 near Nelahal village under the Kora police station limits in Tumakuru taluk around 6 am on Tuesday.
