Hubballi: In the backdrop of the violence that outraged in old Hubballi on 16 April, the main accused, Abhishek Hiremath on Monday has been sent to judicial custody till 30 April.

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said arrests have been made and an investigation is on in connection with the violence in Hubbali over a social media post.

The High Ground Station Police have reportedly registered an FIR against Congress leaders for trying to protest outside the Chief Minister’s residence demanding the resignation and arrest of Minister Eshwarappa for his involvement in the suicide of the contractor Santhosh Patil.
