The Karnataka government on Friday informed the High Court that it will positively consider the proposal submitted by the Kalaburagi convenor of RSS to hold a route march in Chittapur town.

A farmers' protest demanding fair prices for sugarcane turned violent near the Hattargi tollgate today. The farmers had planned to block the Bengaluru-Pune National Highway (NH 48) as part of their demonstration. However, when the farmers attempted to block the highway, the police intervened and requested them to disperse.
