Karnataka: Woman seeks revival of rape case that was quashed after accused agreed to marry her

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has sought the response of Karnataka government and an MBBS student after taking note of a plea of a woman seeking revival of a rape case filed by her against him that was quashed following a settlement under which he had agreed to marry her.

 Accusing the BJP government led by Chief Minister, B. S. Yediyurappa of not extending any help to Covid victims of the State, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President,  D. K. Shivakumar has said that though the BJP government announced some compensation after the Congress exerted pressure, the announcement has not been materialized yet.
