Jan 12: Over 21,000 new COVID cases in Karnataka; 15,617 from Bengaluru Urban alone

Bengaluru: Reporting yet another spike, Karnataka on Wednesday registered 21,390 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 10 fatalities, taking the tally to 30,99,519 and the death toll to 38,389.

 


Karnataka Congress' padayatra continues, third FIR against 64 leaders for violating COVID-19 curbs

Bengaluru: As the Congress' 'padayatra' demanding implementation of the Mekedatu project across the Cauvery river entered its fourth day on Wednesday, a third FIR has been registered against 64 party leaders, including D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah, for taking out the march defying COVID-19 curbs.

Bengaluru: Ruling BJP legislators from Bengaluru on Wednesday urged the Karnataka government not to allow Congress' padyatra, demanding implementation of Mekedatu project across Cauvery river, from entering the city to avoid further spread of COVID-19 infections here.
