SSLC exam to be held; schools in Karnataka to re-open after Aug: Minister

Bengaluru: A decision on reopening schools in Karnataka would be taken after August but class X board exams would be held on June 25 as per the recent schedule announced by the state government, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar said on Tuesday.

 


COVID-19: Karnataka nears 6000-cases mark as it reports 161 new cases, 164 recoveries on Tuesday

Bengaluru: Karnataka on Tuesday recorded 161 new cases of Corona Virus in the state. With this the state has neared the 6000-cases mark, as the total toll of cases currently stands at 5921. The State also recorded two death cases due to the deadly virus taking the toll of deaths in the state to 66.

Bengaluru: JD(S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda on Tuesday filed his nomination as the party's candidate for the June 19 Rajya Sabha elections from Karnataka.

 

Polls to 7 Karnataka Legislative Council seats on June 29

Elections to seven seats of the Karnataka Legislative Council will be held on June 29, the poll panel announced on Tuesday.

The seven seats are falling vacant on June 30, according to an Election Commission statement. Members of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly will vote on June 29 to elect the seven new MLCs.
