Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday assured of taking necessary steps to constitute ‘Kodagu Reconstruction Authority’ to rehabilitate the affected people and reconstruct the entire district which was devastated in the natural disaster.

We will emerge victorious in all the five constituencies in upcoming by-polls and that will prove the stability of the coalition government, stated Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar.

There is a coal shortage in the state's thermal power plants. The 1,720 MW capacity's Raichur Thermal Power Station has zero coal storage. This problem surfaced because the central government’s Western Coalfields Limited (WLC) could not provide adequate coal supply, charged CM HD Kumaraswamy.
