Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday blamed militants for trying to sabotage the ceasefire announced by the central government.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar offered floral tributes to the bust of former chief minister late D Devaraj Urs as part of the latter’s 36th death anniversary, on the premises of the Vidhana Soudha here on Wednesday.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy submitted the list of MLAs, 15 from Congress and 8 from JDS, who are going to be inducted into the cabinet of the JDS-Congress coalition government, to the Governor.

Former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa father and son duo have conspired to close the Congress.

Chamrajpet MLA Zameer Ahmed said that “I am confident of getting the ministerial berth. But I don’t know about the portfolio”.

Mangaluru MLA UT Khader may get urban development and housing portfolios in the JDS-Congress coalition government, the cabinet of which is expanding today.

Though JDS earlier wanted to keep Energy portfolio with it, it has planned to give it to the Congress.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy said that the cabinet formation of the JDS-Congress coalition government would be completed in two phases.
