Karnataka notifies 50% fee waiver for 'out of favour' streams at govt engineering colleges: Report

In a recent move to address the declining demand for certain engineering disciplines, a 50% fee waiver has been announced for a few 'out of favour' engineering streams in government colleges. This includes once-popular courses such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and others.


Carbofuran, Phorate linked to death of five tigers in MM Hills: FSL report

A recent report by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has confirmed the presence of high levels of two toxic pesticides, Carbofuran and Phorate, in the digestive systems of a tigress and her four cubs found dead in the Hoogyam Range of the Malai Mahadeshwara Hills Wildlife Sanctuary (MM Hills) last month.
