BJP Leader CT Ravi questions actions against former CM Yediyurappa in POCSO case

Bengaluru: BJP senior leader and MLC CT Ravi has raised concerns over what he described as an unexpected turn in the POCSO case against former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. This development comes after the investigation team had reportedly found the charges baseless and was preparing to file a B-Report.

 


High Court orders no arrest for former CM BS Yediyurappa in sexual harassment case

Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has ordered that former Chief Minister BS Yeddiyurappa not be arrested in connection with allegations of sexually harassing a minor girl. This decision came during the hearing of Yeddyurappa's anticipatory bail application.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Friday rubbished reports that the government is under pressure from "influential people" to favour Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who has been arrested in connection with a murder case.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Friday said that with a non-bailable arrest warrant against him in a POCSO case, it will be "good" if former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa comes back to Bengaluru soon and appears before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is probing it. According to reports, the veteran BJP leader has gone to an “undisclosed” location in New Delhi.
