The High Court has dismissed the bail plea of former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, who is currently in jail in connection with a rape case.

Police have arrested a 64-year-old man on Saturday for killing his son in Nagadevanahalli in Bengaluru. The deceased, identified as Rajesh, was addicted to alcohol and used to pick up fights with his father.

A man allegedly killed his mother in Rajoḷḷa village of Chittapur taluk on Saturday in a fit of rage for visiting her parental home. The deceased has been identified as 72-year-old Devakamma Doddabirappa Pujari. The accused, her son Jatteppa Doddabirappa Pujari, aged 34, has been arrested by the police.
