The Special Court of People's Representatives has deferred the hearing of the anticipatory bail application filed by former Minister HD Revanna in connection with a woman's kidnapping case.

The BJP on Saturday slammed the Siddaramaiah Congress government-led Congress government over the law and order situation in Karnataka and alleged that young girls and women had no protection.

In a recent development, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has penned a letter to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah concerning the scandal involving Prajwal Revanna, a prominent JD(S) leader. The scandal revolves around obscene videos allegedly involving Revanna, who holds the position of incumbent member of Parliament from Karnataka's Hassan constituency.

In the latest development surrounding the alleged sex scandal involving Prajwal Revanna, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has issued a third notice, this time also extending it to Bhavani Revanna, the wife of former Minister Revanna.
