With voices from within his cabinet pitching for the appointment of three more deputy chief ministers in the state, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said the high command would decide on it ultimately, and that he would comply with the decision.

The head teacher of a government school in Nidaghatta village of Maddur taluk of the district has been arrested by the Maddur Police under charge of sexually harassing girl students of the school, based on a complaint filed by the girls' parents, with the support of Dalit organizations.

A truck driver and the cleaner had a narrow escape from death on Friday night as the truck toppled into a 100-foot abyss beside the Charmadi Ghat road at Somanakadu in Chikkamagaluru district, after the driver lost control over the truck as visibility was low due to the dense fog on the stretch, following heavy rain in the Ghats.
