Gang hijacks truck laden with about 2.5 tonnes of tomato near Bengaluru

A gang of three allegedly hijacked and fled with a truck laden with tomatoes, whose prices have shot up to more than Rs 100 a kg, under the garb of a road rage at Chikkajala near here, according to police.


Dinesh Gundu Rao criticizes central govt for denying rice supply to state, calls it cruel

Dinesh Gundu Rao, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare in Karnataka, has condemned the Central government's decision to withhold the supply of five kilograms of rice per family in the state, describing it as "cruel." In a tweet from his personal account on Tuesday, Rao expressed his disappointment and pledged that the state government would ensure rice is provided to the people, even without the support of the Central government.

Hotels, restaurants in Bengaluru to soon start operations round the clock

Bengaluru: In a bid to bolster Bengaluru city’s reputation as a thriving tech hub, the city is set to allow hotels and restaurants to operate 24 hours a day.
