Heavy rains: Uttara Kannada DC declares holiday to schools, PU Colleges across district

Karwar: Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner Prabhuling Kavalikatti on Tuesday evening declared holidays to all schools and PU Colleges in the district on July 5 owing to the heavy rainfall across the district since Monday.

Bengaluru: The Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, witnessed scenes of chaos on Tuesday as the budget session commenced. Amidst the commotion, Vidhan Sabha Speaker U.T. Khader made an announcement regarding the session's schedule. He added that the Assembly session would extend until July 21st, with the Budget presentation scheduled for July 7.
