New Delhi: India’s Neeraj Goyat took on and defeated Brazilian Whindersson Nunes ahead of the much-anticipated Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson face-off at the 90,000 packed-house AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The top Indian boxer and WBC (World Boxing Council) Asia titleholder Neeraj dominated the fight right from the start. The judges ruled the contest 59-55, 60-54, 60-54 in the 33-year-old's favour.
Neeraj Goyat, born on November 11, 1991, in Begumpur village, Karnal, Haryana, is a prominent Indian professional boxer and mixed martial artist. He began his boxing journey in 2006 at the Army Sports Institute in Pune.
Goyat's professional boxing record stands at 19 wins, 4 losses, and 2 draws. He has also ventured into mixed martial arts and appeared in Indian films like Toofan and RRR.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old Jake Paul comprehensively beat 58-year-old Mike Tyson in the boxing bout on Saturday.

Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
