Pant century powers LSG to 227/3 against RCB
Lucknow, May 27 (PTI): Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant struck a blistering hundred as his team scored 227 for three against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final league fixture of the ongoing Indian Premier League here on Tuesday.
Asked to bat first, LSG were well served by Pant's 61-ball unbeaten knock and Mitchell Marsh's 37-ball 67.
The LSG captain reached his century in just 54 balls.
Pant had scored his first IPL ton against Sunrisers Hyderabad while he was with Delhi Capitals in the 2018 season.

Man shot dead in Jharkhand’s Jamtara, probe underway
Jamtara (Jharkhand) (PTI): A man was shot dead by three unidentified bike-borne armed miscreants in Jharkhand’s Jamtara district on Sunday, police said.
The incident took place at Dharampur village within Narainpur police station limits when the victim, identified as Furkan Ansari, a resident of the same village, had gone out for his morning tea at a stall around 8.15 am, they said.
Narainpur OC Murad Hasan said, "The victim's body was handed over to his family members after post-mortem examination at Sadar Hospital."
Police have launched an investigation into the matter, the OC said.
