Why is Sachin Tendulkar not yet in ICC's Hall of Fame?

Indian legend Rahul Dravid added another feather to his cap as the former Indian captain was inducted into ICC Hall of Fame on Sunday last week. As Dravid became only the fifth Indian cricketer to enter the elite list after Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Bishan Singh Bedi and Anil Kumble, one question in everybody's mind is - why is Sachin Tendulkar missing from the elite list?


Rahul, Kuldeep architect India's 8-wkt win in first T20I

England pip Colombia to enter FIFA World Cup quarters

A England overcame Colombia 4-3 (1-1) via penalty shootout in a FIFA World Cup pre-quarterfinal here on Tuesday.

Harry Kane converted a penalty to give England the lead in the 57th minute. But Colombia bagged their equaliser in the third minute of the injury time when Yerry Mina headed into the net from a corner, taking the game to extra time.

Winger Emil Forsberg's second-half strike helped Sweden beat Switzerland 1-0 to enter the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup after a gap of 24 years.

Aaron Finch hits 172 for new record T20 international score

Australia top-order batsman Aaron Finch on Tuesday broke his own record to notch up the highest individual score in Twenty20 International (T20I). Finch played a whirlwind knock to score 172 runs off 76 delivers during the third T20I match against Zimbabwe in the tri-series at the Harare Sports Club. The 31-year-old Finch's knock was laced with 16 boundaries and 10 hits over the fence as he batted with a strike rate of 226.31 to pilot Australia to a mammoth 229/2 after being asked to bat first.

Boxer dies in training session

Uganda's professional boxer Mustafa Katende collapsed and died during a training session here.

Ayub Kalule, one of the veteran trainers at the Police Training School Gym in Kibuli, told Xinhua that Katende was not feeling well but decided to do a small workout since he was preparing for a professional fight.
