Bogotá: In a bizarre turn of events, a woman in Colombia was shocked when she opened her Amazon package expecting an air fryer, only to find a lizard inside.

Sofia Serrano, the customer, shared the unusual experience on social media platform X, posting a picture of the lizard clinging to the inside of the box. She wrote, “We ordered an air fryer through Amazon and it arrived with a companion. I don’t know if it was Amazon’s fault or the carrier’s fault… good morning!”

The tweet quickly went viral, garnering over 4 million views. Amazon's customer service team responded to the incident, apologizing to Serrano for the inconvenience. They wrote, "Hello! We're sorry for the inconvenience."

Social media users flocked to the comment section to share their reactions. One user wondered, "Where did that come from???? From Singapore?? There are some like that and it is very common to see them on the street." Another expressed concern for the lizard, writing, "Poor little animal, how many hours has he spent in a box, without food or water. Hopefully @amazon can provide a relevant solution for both those affected and the animal."

This incident is reminiscent of a similar situation that occurred in June when a couple in Bengaluru, India, received an Amazon package containing a snake. The viral video showed a cobra entangled in the packaging tape, struggling to free itself. The wife, identified as Tanvi, recorded the scene and posted it online, stating that she heard a "hiss" sound upon opening the package.

Mumbai, Nov 24: There is unrest in the Maha Vikas Aghadi camp and its five to six MLAs might join the ruling Mahayuti in the next few months, claimed NCP chief whip Anil Patil, who has retained his Amalner assembly seat, on Sunday.

The MVA of Congress, NCP (SP) and Shiv Sena (UBT) suffered a crushing blow in the Maharashtra assembly polls, winning only 46 of the state's 288 seats. By contrast, the BJP-led ruling coalition, which also has NCP and Shiv Sena as partners, bagged an impressive 230 seats.

“There is tremendous unrest among some NCP (SP), Congress and Sena (UBT) MLAs who have been re-elected. Those having good relations with us have expressed concerns over MVA’s massive defeat,” Patil told Marathi news channel ABP Majha.

If one wants development works in his constituency, it is good to be in power, said the legislator from Ajit Pawar’s party.

“The MVA MLAs feel their future is uncertain. It shouldn’t be a surprise if five to six MLAs cross over to the Mahayuti in the next four months,” he said.

In the results of the Maharashtra polls declared on Saturday, BJP won in 132 constituencies, while its partners Shiv Sena and NCP walked away with 57 and 41 seats, respectively.

From the MVA camp, Shiv Sena (UBT) bagged 20 seats followed by Congress’ 16 and 10 by NCP (SP).
