Israel, Iran accept ceasefire

Israel and Iran on Tuesday accepted a ceasefire plan proposed by US President Donald Trump to end their 12-day war that roiled the Middle East, after Tehran launched a retaliatory limited missile attack on a US military base in Qatar.

Israel warned of Iranian attacks on Tuesday morning hours after US President Donald Trump announced the two Middle Eastern countries had agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire."

Tehran/Tel Aviv: In a surprise social media announcement, US President Donald Trump declared that Israel and Iran have reached an agreement to implement a "Complete and Total Ceasefire," marking the end of what he called "The 12 Day War."
 
Trump stated that the ceasefire would begin in approximately six hours, allowing both sides to conclude their ongoing operations. According to his announcement, Iran will initiate the ceasefire, followed by Israel 12 hours later. A full 24 hours after the first cessation of hostilities, the war will be officially declared over.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed that it launched a missile strike on the US-operated Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, calling it a direct response to American airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
