BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel on Friday addressed the issue of Arun Kumar Puttila's supporters contesting in Gram Panchayat elections during a press conference held in Puttur on Friday. Kateel acknowledged that national leaders have already discussed the matter of Puttila and stated that the BJP would participate in the upcoming Gram Panchayat by-elections.

The Karnataka High Court absolved three doctors accused of medical negligence case registered against them while noting that a medical expert’s opinion was in their favour. The order was passed on June 28 by a single-judge bench of Justice Sachin Shankar Magadum.
