BJP has successfully opened its account in the coastal Karnataka, With party’s Vedvyas Kamath winning the Mangaluru City South constituency.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023 have been marked by jubilant celebrations at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Office in Bengaluru, as the party is currently leading on 125 seats across the state in the ongoing vote-counting process.

JD(S) candidate H Swaroop won the elections from Hassan, beating Preetham Gowda of the BJP by around 8,000 votes.

The Calcutta High Court on Friday ordered the cancellation of appointment of around 36,000 candidates who were untrained at the time of their recruitment as primary teachers in West Bengal government-sponsored and -aided schools, as the due procedure was not followed in the appointment process.
