The Red Fort Metro Station has been closed for commuters a day after a blast in the area killed at least nine people, while traffic restrictions have also been imposed in the area, officials said on Tuesday.
Delhi Police on Tuesday registered an FIR under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosives Act in connection with the blast near Red Fort that claimed nine lives, officials said.
The opposition parties on Monday demanded a thorough and speedy investigation into the car blast near the Red Fort that killed at least eight people and injured many others, and raised concerns over the security situation in the national capital.
