A BSF personnel was killed when Naxals detonated an IED, while a Maoist was gunned down in an encounter with police in separate incidents in Chhattisgarh on Sunday, a day ahead of the first phase of Assembly polls in the state.

The Central Vigilance Commission inquiry into the Rs 2 crore bribe charges against CBI director Alok Verma has found "nothing substantial", sources informed to The Times of India.

The CCB police today arrested former Minister Janardhana Reddy in connection with the Ambident Company fraud case. Reddy, who was hiding fearing his arrest for last four days, had appeared before the CCB on Saturday. He was later subjected to inquiry.
