The rupee tumbled 35 paise to hit all-time intra-day low of 92.36 against the US dollar on Thursday as global crude oil prices kept rising overnight and showed no signs of easing amid the raging war in West Asia.

Silver price declined by Rs 4,275 to Rs 2.75 lakh per kilogram in the national capital on Wednesday, while gold gained Rs 900 to Rs 1.65 lakh per 10 grams amid geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

Silver prices declined by Rs 3,400 to Rs 2.68 lakh per kilogram, and gold traded almost flat at Rs 1,64,300 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday as a firm US dollar dampened the precious metals' demand amid volatile global markets.

Equity investors became poorer by Rs 22.40 lakh crore since the beginning of the conflict involving the US, Israel and Iran, which has rattled stock markets, driving the BSE Sensex lower by 4.6 per cent.
