Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, the biggest private medical university in the Middle East region celebrated its 21^st anniversary with a cake-cutting ceremony and a tree-planting event at the university campus, on 5^th November 2019. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Thumbay Moideen – Founder, President Board of Trustees GMU, Prof. Hossam Hamdy – Chancellor of GMU, Prof. John R. Raymond – President & CEO of the Medical College of Wisconsin, USA & Member of the Board of Trustees, GMU, Prof. Manda Venkatramana - Vice Chancellor Academics, the Deans of the colleges of GMU as well as other staff and students.

An Indian woman and a four-year-old Indian girl have died in two separate accidents in the UAE, according to media reports.

Doha Modern Indian School, Qatar (DMIS) on Thursday evening withdrew their earlier message wherein they had announced the closure of the school on Wednesday. The move had triggered panic and uncertainty to the parents and students of the school. The school had announced that it would close all the operations at the end of current academic year (2019-20) and had urged parents to ensure seats for their kids at other schools for academic year 2020-21.
