Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a number of projects including the much awaited Bansagar canal which is expected to provide a big boost to irrigation.

Six members of a family committed mass suicide in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh district, police said on Sunday. The victims were Naresh Maheswari, a resident of the district's Munga Bagicha area, his parents, his wife and two of their children.
