Mangaluru: Snehalaya, Shraddha Foundation reunites woman with family after 28 years

Mangaluru: A woman who had been missing for nearly 28 years was finally reunited with her family, thanks to the efforts of Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation. Chaitali, also known as Kanchanmala Lai, was welcomed back by her husband, children, and brothers after being separated from them for almost three decades.

 


Animal sacrifice videos found on Ram Sene leader Prasad Attavar’s mobile: Case registered

Mangaluru: Videos of animal sacrifice have been found on the mobile phone of Ram Sene leader Prasad Attavar, who was arrested in connection with the vandalism at a unisex salon near KSRTC bus stop, Bejai in the city. Following this, a case has been registered against him at Barke police station.

Mangaluru: The Additional District and Sessions Court, FTSC-2 POCSO Special Court, Judge Manu K. S., on Wednesday sentenced accused K.S. Keshav Poojary (43) to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping a 15-year-old girl in Kalkaje Dondole, Dharmasthala village, Belthangady. The court also imposed a fine of Rs. 55,000 on the accused.
