Hindutva activist Chaitra Kundapur, who is in CCB police custody in Bengaluru on charges of cheating a Byndoor businessman of crores of rupees after promising a BJP ticket for assembly poll, has courted more trouble as another cheating case has been registered against her.

 Industrialist and Philanthropist Usman Kukkady breathed his last at a private hospital in the city on Monday night following brief illness.

A youth from Bagalkote drowned in the sea while two of his friends who were also washed away by giant tidal waves, were rescued at Mallamar beach near here, police said.
