Florida: Andrea Meza of Mexico has been crowned Miss Universe for the year 2020, besting contestants from 73 other countries, including Miss India Adline Castelino, who came in fourth at the beauty pageant.

Mangaluru: Two persons have died and three crew members have gone missing in the tug boat-capsize in the sea, said Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) on Sunday.

Two people died and five others were missing after their tug boat that was assisting a ship capsized 10 nautical miles off the coast here.

Udupi: The 48-year-old son of Mohammed Moodbidri, a resident of Bolar in Mangaluru, Mohammed Anees Shaikh passed away at a private hospital in Udupi on Thursday.

In an incident that occurred on Saturday morning, a two-storeyed house situated close to the ocean at Musodi in Uppala, collapsed to the ground after intense tidal waves crashed into the structure. The levelled house belongs to a man named Musa, who is a resident of Musodi, it is learned.
