Bantwal: In a road accident reported from Gadiyar in Bantwal Taluk, a two-wheeler rider died after being hit by a lorry. The incident took place near Jogibettu National Highway here.

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. KV Rajendra on Monday cleared the air about the possible shortage of oxygen at the hospitals in the district. The DC noted that the district currently has adequate oxygen and that it was not facing any shortage of medical oxygen.

Mangaluru: Police officials in Mangaluru City limits were seen forcing the fruit vendors, pushcart vendors, and grocery stores to close down their shops at 10:00 am. This, despite the state government in an order issued on Saturday night, relaxed the hours of business for grocery stores and pushcart vendors.

In an incident that occurred on Wednesday night, a wife died after two hours of her husband’s death at Masthikatte in Ullal.  The deceased couple is Congress Leader Nazir Ahmed (62) and his wife Jamila (54).
