Kundapur: One person died, another was rescued when the duo started drowning while swimming in the sea at Kodi beach here in Kundapur on Monday afternoon.

In an accident that occurred on Monday morning, a truck collided with a two-wheeler and ran over the rider thrown in the impact, killing him instantaneously in Uchil Town. The gruesome accident occurred at 8.30 am on Monday. 

In a car and bike collision that occurred on Sunday night at Kudrebettu near Mani, the young biker reportedly died after being grievously injured.

Mangaluru: Nearly eight months after all the educational institutions halted their operations owing to the COVID-19 lockdown in the country, various degree colleges in Dakshina Kannada resumed offline classes in the campuses. The move to resume colleges comes on the back of guidelines issued by the state government that allowed degree colleges to resume offline classes from November 17.
