Puttur: An eight-year-old boy trapped in resort's swimming pool when he entered it for swimming near Kumbra Parladka recently. Immediately, locals gathered and rescued him. The entire incident has been captured in a CCTV camera.

Udupi: Senior journalist and critic of music and photography A Eswaraiah on Sunday passed away at his residence at Lakshmindra Nagar in the city. He was 78. He is survived by wife, son and two daughters.
