Dakshina Kannada Women Police have conducted a raid on a building in Samethadka in the city on being tipped off that it was a site for flesh trade and arrested two suspects.

Mangaluru: A murder accused who had been absconding for nearly three years after his bail was cancelled by the Supreme Court was arrested near Mangaluru, police said on Tuesday.

The district authorities reportedly said that the newly constructed dams in Dakshina Kannada are structurally sound and currently pose no safety risks.

Mudigere: Gonibeedu Police have arrested two men, Vijay Kumar and his accomplice Harsha, under charge of cutting the pipeline installed by a private petroleum company and stealing gas in Hireshigaru village near Gonibeedu in the taluk.
