BJP activists reportedly attacked Congressmen at a bar in Valapete late on Wednesday night. The victims have been identified as George (51) and Mohandas (42), residents of Krishna Nagar.

Surathkal police arrested two persons near Thokkottu Kallapu in connection with robbery of a handbag with gold jewelries.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Salman (26), a resident of Kudroli and Husain Tanveer (28) from B.C Road Kaikamba in Bantwal taluk.

While fishing at Hejamadi sluice, silver fish appeared on Wednesday. While fishing at the sluice, silver fish trapped in nets in abundance and the local people had a feast.
