New Delhi/Bengaluru/Mumbai: As the country's COVID-19 tally rose to nearly 8.5 lakh, authorities were getting ready to reimpose lockdown for varying periods in more cities, including in Bengaluru and Pune, in the coming days, while there appeared to be an improvement in the situation in the national capital.

 

2,627 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday take Karnataka's tally near 40k-mark; 71 deaths reported

Bengaluru: Karnataka on Sunday, July 12 reported 2,627 fresh cases of Coronavirus coupled with 71 deaths due to the deadly virus. With this, the total number of cases reported in the state so far has climbed up to 38,843 while the number of fatalities has gone up to 684.
