Present situation worse than Emergency: Deve Gowda

Bengaluru: Slamming the denial of entry to a Congress minister from Karnataka to a Mumbai hotel to meet 12 rebel MLAs, former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda Wednesday said the situation was "worse than Emergency" and he had not seen anything like it in 60 years of public life.

 The BJP in Karnataka staged a 'dharna' at the Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday, demanding the resignation of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who they claim has lost majority in the House after the resignation of 14 MLAs of the ruling Congress-JD(S) alliance.

Four including infant killed as multi-storey building collapses in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Eight dissident MLAs of the ruling coalition government will be visiting Bengaluru to meet Speaker Ramesh Kumar at around 10 am tomorrow from Mumbai. They would visit the Speaker to clarify him as he had said that their resignation letters were not in prescribed format.
