Not eight, eleven MLAs submitted resignation: Karnataka Speaker Ramesh Kumar confirms

Karnataka Assembly speaker Ramesh Kumar on Saturday confirmed reports of his office receiving resignation letters.

According to report eight MLAs from Congress and JD(s) had resigned from assembly. However the speaker said that his office had received resignation letters of eleven MLAs from the two parties.

Bengaluru: Amidst rising tension in Karnataka political circles as eight rebel MLAs of coalition government arrived at Vidhan Soudha to submit their resignation to speaker Ramesh Kumar, the latter was seen at Jaydev Hospital in the city on Saturday.
