Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and other leaders from the state on Tuesday paid homage to DMK patriarch M. Karunanidhi, who earlier passed away in Chennai.

KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao made a strong allegation that the BJP leaders who claim themselves as the owners of the god and religion, have been conspiring to topple the JDS-Congress coalition government unethically, for which they have been inducing more than 80 Congress MLAs.

Following the death of former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi, the KSRTC has suspended the service of its buses to Tamil Nadu for two days as a precautionary measure.

KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao said that in order to educate the people on the failures of the central government, the Congress would conduct ‘Jana Dhwani’ rally in Bidar on August 13.

If the students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes face any problem in hostels, they can call and inform to the newly opened helpline in the Social Welfare Department. Actions will be taken to resolve them, said Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar.
