Meat consignment: Legal action to be taken based on analysis report of species

A day after the chaos at Bengaluru railway station over a large shipment of meat, the Karnataka Food Safety and Standards department on Saturday said samples of animal meat found in the parcels were collected and sent to the laboratory for analysis following which legal action will be initiated.


Landslide disrupts train services in Mysuru railway division; no injuries reported

An incident of landslide reported from between Hassan and Shantigrama stations of the Mysuru Railway Division on Saturday morning damaged a goods locomotive and led to the rescheduling of train services, although no casualties or injuries were reported.
