In an incident that reportedly occurred on Monday morning, two Mysuru-origin people drowned in the sea at Panambur beach while swimming. 

Prominent Konkani author, humour writer popularly known as ‘CGS Thakod’, Cyril G Sequeira (71) passed away on Saturday morning after experiencing a short period of ill health.
